At Anglican Missions Africa, our calling is not only to share the Gospel but also to respond to the practical needs of the communities we serve.
One of the greatest challenges faced across many regions is access to clean and reliable water. Families walk long distances, schools struggle to maintain hygiene, and churches face limitations in their outreach due to the scarcity of this essential resource. We are praying and trusting God for the provision of our own borehole drilling machine, a vital tool that will allow us to drill boreholes in water-scarce areas. Acquiring a new drilling machine in Kenya costs approximately $100,000 USD, and we believe this investment will greatly strengthen our ministry. Owning a drilling machine will: • Strengthen our ability to reach remote communities, meeting both spiritual and physical needs. • Support the long-term sustainability of the organisation, reducing dependence on external service providers. • Quench the thirst of many families, schools, and churches, transforming lives through safe, accessible water. We believe that providing water is a powerful expression of Christ’s love—meeting a critical need while opening doors to share the life-giving message of the Gospel. We invite friends, partners, and believers to join us in prayer as we seek this vital resource. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring hope to communities in need |

The Challenge:
Africa is a vast continent faced with a mirage of challenges ranging from poor road networks, especially in the hinterlands, extreme drought leading to loss of livestock and human lives. The greatest need in most of these arid places, where the unreached people groups live, are in dire need of water. Sharing of the Good news is almost synonymous to the provision of water. People in these places travel long distance in search of water for their livelihood. They migrate, wondering from place to place with their animals looking for water, this has in most cases caused human conflict leading to loss of human life and animals. The Big Question: The first question AMA is confronted with after we have shared the gospel is “Are you able to provide water for us? We are suffering. It is evident that ability for AMA to provide water will unlock potential for the sharing of the gospel and advancement of God’s kingdom among the unreached and the under privileged. Provision of water is not just a social human response but also a mission strategy as demonstrated by Jesus Christ. Jesus referred to himself as the water of life. John 4: 13-14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” As a missionary movement with the heart for the lost in Africa, drilling of bore holes, providing water for most helpless and vulnerable people is a powerful tool of evangelism that will unlock great potential to reach out to millions of Africans, introducing them to the gospel of love and saving grace through Jesus Christ.
